A deciduous,upright, and multistemmed shrub growing 4-8ft high and wide. Clusters of fragrant, yellow flowers apear in April and turn into black, edible fruits in summer. Glossy green leaves turn red-orange in the fall. With a wide-range of native habitats, this shrub is very soil adaptable withstanding drought and even some standing water. Sun to part shade. Attracts hummingbirds and buttflies while being deer resistant!
