California Fuchsia

A seedling of Zauchneria ‘Select Mattole’ that popped up in our rock garden. Warm red fuchsia-like flowers bloom from July through September on this low growing, drought tolerant, sun loving plant. Grows to 12″ high, spreading to 3′ wide in time. Deciduous foliage should be pruned back each spring to keep the plant compact. A Hummingbird magnet, not attractive to deer.
