Growing Fruit Trees 101

 Wednesday February 22, 10:30-12:30. Class repeats Sunday March 12, 10:30-12:30 and Saturday April 22, 10:30-12:30. We also plan a September session, date and time TBD. Classes are held mostly outside, so dress for the weather.

Learn how to give fruit trees the best start. You’ll learn the easiest varieties to grow, how to decide on which rootstock to plant, where and how to plant and what initial pruning and training is needed.

$20 per person Preregistration required. Class is limited to 20 people.

  • Please note, this workshop will take place partially outside of the classroom environment for up to 2 hours and involves walking 45 minutes or more and standing on uneven and unpaved ground. If you would like us to provide seating for you during this time outside, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance of the workshop. Wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids are welcome but in some areas may be difficult (unpaved or grassy areas).
